Utilizing Airway Neurology to Improve Treatment Outcomes for the Entire Dental Team

Friday, 1:00pm - 4:00pm
Classroom:  Cira C

This educational and experiential program introduces the dental team to practical airway and cranial nerve neurology techniques that enhance patient comfort, cooperation, and clinical outcomes. By improving nasal breathing, salivary flow, and neurologic relaxation, the entire dental team—dentist, hygienist, assistant, and front office—can work more efficiently while increasing case acceptance and overall practice success.
The course is delivered in a lecture-workshop format, emphasizing hands-on experience so participants can immediately apply the techniques in daily practice.

Learning Objectives:
- Explain how airway and cranial nerve neurology influence breathing, gag reflex, salivary flow, and patient comfort during dental treatment.
- Demonstrate practical techniques that improve nasal breathing and neurologic relaxation to enhance clinical efficiency, healing, and diagnostic accuracy.
- Apply airway neurology strategies to improve patient communication, treatment acceptance, and overall practice outcomes across all roles of the dental team.
